The Institutional Client Group is responsible for driving the firm’s strategy and business development efforts with institutional investors, globally.  As an Associate, the candidate will work in close partnership with ICG team members, investment professionals and other key stakeholders in a range of responsibilities related to servicing and growing the client business.  The Associate will partner with senior team members to support all facets of client relationship management, including client portfolio reviews, prospecting, market research, attending in-person and remote sales meetings, and working with internal functional groups to respond to client inquires.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Assist with the coordination of meetings, calls and other sales activities including logistics, presentation materials, and follow ups.
  • Liaise with investment, finance and research teams to collect information needed for investor requests.
  • Maintain client/prospect database including upkeep of prospect company and contact info, entry of meeting notes, tracking of opportunities, etc. by leveraging Salesforce functionality.
  • Prepare briefing notes to educate relationship managers and investment professionals in advance of prospective and current client meetings.
  • Utilize industry databases and websites to extract meaningful financial data.
  • Actively maintain intel on the institutional market including recent news, major developments, and potential regulatory changes.
  • Research and share knowledge of competitive products and industry trends and their potential impact on MIM’s strategies.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Series 7 & 63 licenses required within six months of service at MIM.
  • Thorough analytical skills with the ability to creatively present data in new ways.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly motivated team player with a collaborative mindset and strong interest in building a business in a complex and performance-oriented environment.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Real Estate experience.
  • Understanding of MIM products and services, as well as the role of consultants and institutional investors.
