In this role, you will contribute to the overall success of the Fixed Income US Middle Office and ensure specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. You will ensure all activities conducted in accordance of compliance regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Reconcile and validate trade capture and day trading activity in timely and accurate manner.
  • Liaise with clients, fund administrators, custodians, trust banks, brokers and other counterparties to ensure daily operation issues such as trade discrepancies and settlement issues are resolved promptly.
  • Provide middle office support, including trade instructions, trade matching, corporate actions, cash & position reconciliation. The individual will be expected to support the entire trade lifecycle from front to back.
  • Develop standard processes to route customer queries to correct department for timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with front office and other support teams, locally and globally, to address trade related enquiries and issues.
  • Work with client services to provide accurate and appropriate trade information to customer in a timely manner.
  • Manage cash and asset reconciliations and resolve breaks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate to resolve any post trade and settlement issues.
  • Provide excellent and outstanding customer service.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience required, ideally in the asset management industry
  • Strong organizational, communication, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrable risk and controls awareness and ability to apply this to the operating environment
  • Preferable system knowledge - Bloomberg, Aladdin, Omgeo products
  • Proven track record of implementing change and managing through difficult circumstances
  • Advanced computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Self-starter, motivated and ability to implement tasks and projects with minimal supervision
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills who fosters team spirit in a global setting

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Economics, Finance or a related discipline
