Role Value Proposition: 

The position is part of the Property and Casualty Financial Planning and Analysis team and will contribute in the development of the top and bottom line annual financial plan and monthly forecasts for the profitable and growing P&C segment of MetLife.   This position will work closely with the business in developing assumptions and monitoring/analyzing ongoing results.   The position comes with  exposure to the leadership team, the CFO and  an experienced FP&A team that will allow the appropriate candidate the opportunity gain a deep understanding of the P&C business and its underlying financials.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate financial projections based on MetLife Auto & Home objectives and strategies.
  • Provide decision support through analyses, projections and model development. Responsible for synthesizing information to influence business decisions and for developing recommendations to tie the overall business strategies and operational plans to the financial results.
  • Conduct financial analyses on key financial results for the Property & Casualty organization.
  • Coordinate responses to various ad-hoc requests for analyses and questions from both business and finance partners, and when appropriate formulate recommendations based on findings.
  • Develop and distribute financial analyses, reports and/or packages to P&C business partners and MetLife Finance partners in an accurate and timely fashion.

  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and comfortable presenting to leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.



  • Minimum 5 years of financial analysis experience.
  • Advanced Excel and Access skills.
  • Strong communication skills.



  • Property & Casualty Insurance industry experience is highly desired.
  • Data Analytics - Comfortable working with and reviewing large amounts of data.
  • PowerPoint skills.
  • 2+ years of financial projection and model building experience.
  • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting; CPA highly desired.
