Role Vlaue Proposition:

The Senior Financial Analyst position will perform a variety of accounting, reporting, and supervisory functions related to MetLife’s 

Fixed Assets.  These functions include preparation and/or review of GAAP and Stat accounting and reporting as well as working on process enhancements. 


Key Responsibilities:   

  • Provide accounting guidance to MetLife Corporate Real Estate Team 

  • On a monthly basis, complete journal entries 

  • Review Stat reporting Schedule A reporting package for Company Owned real estate 

  • Review and approve work completed by other associates 

  • Complete various monthly and quarterly job functions as required 

  • Continually seeking opportunities for process improvement 


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and or reporting.   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  

  • Facilitates collaboration through sharing information, communication, and building relationships 

  • Manages performance independently and effectively meeting deadlines and expectations 

  • Strong PC skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint). Alteryx and SharePoint knowledge is a plus. 

  • Proficient in financial data/accounting software such as PeopleSoft GL and Reporting, HFM, or HFM SmartView. 

  •  Knowledge on any of these systems is a plus.
