Position Summary

 

 

This position is responsible for a wide range of functions supporting the MetLife Real Estate & Agricultural Front Office Team by performing Month end close reporting, Reconciliations and Analysis for the properties acquired including JV’s. Performing variety of Reconciliation: Leasing, Financial, Joint Venture. Analysis of Tenant Information and update changes to support Commercial Mortgage Business. Support Real Estate Equity, Commercial & Agricultural Portfolio

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Performing month end closing & reporting for different Real Estate Portfolios
  2. Ensuring month end analysis for MetLife Real Estate Equity & Commercial Leasing Analysis
  3. Perform system Reconciliation activities
  4. Run reports in Power BI and perform basic analysis / comparison to previous months/quarters
  5. Perform variance analysis & effectively manage research/resolution/follow-ups for closure of open items.
  6. Document administration and financial reporting workflows and recommend improvements to these processes where appropriate
  7. Prepare internal MIS and analytics relating to reinsurance Inquiries highlighting resource utilization and turnaround time and provide tracking of audits (Reinsurance, D&T, SOX, and State exams).
  8. Perform research relating to queries raised by client, auditors, etc. and assist with preparing timely responses
  9. Prepare CMMI documentation for audit and knowledge about PPM and other internal reporting is required
  10. Preparation of Management reports for internal review by higher management.
  11. Proficient in Real Estate software: MRI, LMW, Yardi, Intralinks, Power BI
  12.  Review work performed by Team leaders/ Assistant Manager and find opportunities to improve and simplify process using Lean & Six Sigma
  13. Finalizing Year-end performance of Associates and team leads rolling under him
  14. Conduct regular 1-o-1 with his directs and documenting the same

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

 

Education

  • MBA Finance/ M. Com with 6-8 years of education
  • CA Preferable

 

Experience

  • Experience in Accounting, Month end close reporting
  • Experience in US Real Estate Industry preferable
  • Should have experience in handling end to end month end activities
  • Investigate, resolve and reconcile outstanding balances and item
  •  

 

Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

Ensure closure of all month-end activities within stipulated time with 100% accuracy. Understand the complexities involved in Real Estate industry reporting Should be proficient in Microsoft office tools. Ensure that the assigned targets are met in accordance with SLA and Internal standards. Ensure that the quality of transaction is in compliance with predefined parameters as defined by Process Excellence. Research & Analytical skill is required.

 

  • Should have Finance Background
  • Prior Experience of US Real Estate Industry preferred
  • Should be proficient in Microsoft office tools
  • Knowledge of application: MRI, LMW, Yardi, Intralinks & Power BI preferred
  • Should have knowledge to ensure quality of transactions follows predefined parameters
  • Should possess excellent follow-up and coordination capability
  • Ability to gather, manipulate and analyze information and data
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and task prioritization
  • Ability to find creative and innovative business solution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, well organized and flexible with a sense of urgency approach
  • Must be a problem solver and take self-initiative
  • Should possess excellent follow-up and co-ordination ability as process involves daily unstructured and complex interaction with state-side partners
