Position Summary

  •  To calculate retirement benefit eligibility of annuitants as per different plan procedures, MetLife guidelines and US Insurance industry standards

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Calculate benefit eligibility of annuitants as per annuity plan of insureds & include it in Retirement package
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines
  • Excellent knowledge of Annuity plans and benefit calculation procedures
  • High proficiency in mathematical & calculation skills
  • Usage of excel to make quick calculations
  • Internal communication with MetLife stakeholders (written, verbal & communication)
  • Lead conference calls with stateside to discuss benefit calculation procedures
  • Read & infer contracts provisions to determine correct benefit & associated calculation
  • Any other essential function that may occur from time to time as directed

 

Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree (Any Stream) or diploma with a minimum of 15 years of education.

 

Experience

(In Years)

3+ Years of experience in Benefit Calculation / Premium calculation / Underwriting calculation etc

 

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge about the Insurance industry in US
  • Knowledge about US Culture
  • Knowledge of Insurance principles
  • Knowledge of Annuities
  • Should be able to use excel to do prompt calculations of benefits
  • Proficiency in English language – Written, comprehension & verbal skills
  • Excellent Communication skills – should be able to read, interpret business documents.
  • Analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Escalate issues if required
  • Data gathering ability/ Eye for detail
  • Team work/ Managing Self / Adaptability
  • Ability to work successfully in production driven environment
  • Adaptability to change
  • Ability to work on routine/standardized transactions
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
