Position Summary



This position is part of the Shared Service Center – Financial Planning & Analysis team, reporting to the Assistant Manager / Manager of the group. The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst is responsible for assisting the FP&A manager with day-to-day task planning and special projects related to planning, budgeting and forecasting, reporting and analysis. It includes preparation of dashboards for organization's consolidated reporting including monthly, quarterly, and annual results and forecasts.

Responsible for developing various summaries, reports , variance analysis and data management including consolidation.


Job Responsibilities



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  1. Person should have experience/Knowledge of Hyperion Planning Essbase, along with EPBCS application.
  2. Person should have good understanding of budgeting and forecasting process including uploading forecast/budget into EPBCS system.
  3. Understanding the customization process for SmartView and having the ability to create Multiple reports and workflows.
  4. It would be additional advantage if person has a sound understanding of creation of POV’s and their integration with SmartView in various scenarios as necessary.
  5. Liaising with regional counter part to providing timely/accurate operational updates and issue resolution.
  6. Ad-hoc work during the Q1 reporting & submission, For example, further detailed and deeper analysis of variances in the reconciliations.
  7. Role requires good communication skills as it involves regular interaction with the Stakeholders & Country FP&A users (to provide support on forecast/budget uploads)
  8. Examine and verify Transfer pricing accounting entries, related data for accuracy and consistency.
  9. Experience in area of MIS, Reporting, Transfer Pricing accounting and reporting is needed with preferred experience on PeopleSoft/ OBIEE / Advanced Excel.
  10. Work with business functions to ensure timely accounting of accruals, re class, and true up’s related to inbound / outbound transfers between countries / regions.
  11. Experience in area of accounting and reporting, Monthly Wire Transfers, Journal Entry processing and Analytical Skills for monthly reports needed.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities




  • Graduates or Postgraduates in Commerce with strong accounting background required.
  • An eye for details and analytical skills to analyze variances, prepare variance commentary is must.
  • Candidate from financial service or insurance industry will be preferred.




  • Minimum 4+ years of total experience in relevant work field


Knowledge and skills (general and technical)


  • Relevant systems knowledge (MS Excel, EPBCS, Hyperion, Oracle)
  • Ensure that the assigned targets are met in accordance with SLA and Internal standards.
  • Ensure that the quality of transaction is in compliance with predefined parameters as defined by Process Excellence.
