Position:
Design, implement, and manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud services. Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture standards, policies, and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan and execute infrastructure projects, such as server migrations, network & server upgrades, data center expansions, cloud migrations and security initiatives, Linux, AIX, Storage
  • Monitor performance and perform regular maintenance, including updates, patches, and backups
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned projects
  • Document procedures, configurations, and other relevant information
  • Schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion
  • Perform overall validation on (budget, schedule, plans, and personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
  • Creating RFC (maintenance window) documents for the installation/upgrade activities in strict compliance with document procedures and work towards securing approval for execution of the RFC tasks
  • Execute migration/upgrade activities for internal and external environment
  • Review deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Require knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, & DHCP monitoring & management
  • Require knowledge on windows server patching & windows failover clustering
  • Working knowledge of installing and troubleshooting windows application, server roles & feature
  • Experience in troubleshooting VMware infrastructure
  • Require knowledge on VMware Snapshots, Clone. Server migration etc.
  • Communicate release details and schedule to the internal teams and external clients and plan and manage all release activities and ensure alignment
  • Work with technical teams to understand impacts of change requests, code branches, merges, etc
  • Lead and coordinate Go / No-Go activities the execution of the deployment plans and checklists
  • Work closely with teams/engineering teams to manage risks and resolve issues/bugs that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
  • Conduct or produce release readiness reviews, weekly release summary reports, milestone reviews.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or another related field with 7+ years of IT and Infrastructure engineering work experience.

Experience:

  • At least 8 years’ experience in leading the teams as a program lead\project engineer
  • Strong technical skills with emphasis in the areas of IT infrastructure including Windows, VMware, Storage, Linux
  • Prior knowledge on program management and business tools
  • Experience in preparation and execution of project plans, schedules, cost estimates, baseline change management, risk mitigation, technical design reviews, management reviews, customer coordination meetings, cost/schedule/status reporting. Implementing corrective actions as necessary to achieve commitments.
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts rapidly. History of understanding avionics and core platform life cycle: requirements, development, test, flight test, certification.
  • Strong communication skills, able to understand the project risks well ahead, take necessary actions.

Other Requirements:

  • Certifications in these areas: Azure, Agile/Scrum certified (SAFe), PMP
  • Should be proficient in MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and SharePoint
  • Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain robust relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse workgroups with strong team management, leadership and coaching skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate/articulate technical and functional issues with conclusions and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in handling state side or offshore stakeholders
  • Experience in creating and delivering Business presentations.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and in a team environment.
