Assistant Manager - Operations

Position Summary


This position is located within the Analytics and Business Intelligence group. The incumbent would serve as a business system analyst and should be able to understand dataflows, translate business user requirements into the relevant functional document.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ability to understand dataflow and create functional documentation for end to end processes
  2. Coordinate with business team and developers to translate business requirement into working product
  3. Requires an understanding of customer’s business practices
  4. Knowledge in any of the ETL and BI platforms like SSIS, Cognos Analytics, QlikView etc.
  5. Experience in working with SQL Server database and queries
  6. Able to understand and work with other teams to ensure quality service delivery
  7. Participates in evaluations of new tools and techniques to improve data management for enterprise
  8. Assistance with reporting, repository maintenance and other routine tasks as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities




  • Bachelor’s degree (Any Stream) or diploma with a minimum of 15 years of education



  • Total experience of 4-6 years


Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

  • Knowledge of ETL and BI platforms – SSIS, Cognos Analytics, QlikView
  • Hands on experience in SQL, Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in creating TSD’s and BRD’s
  • Should have skills to analyze functional specifications and translate it to the technical specification document.
  • Business knowledge of the Group Insurance industry is an advantage
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with various levels of management, including translating complex ideas and data into actionable steps for business units.
