Senior Executive Assistant - EVP & Chief Strategy Officer

Role Value Proposition: 

This position will provide direct support to the EVP and Chief Strategy Officer of MetLife. The role independently performs advanced administrative support duties related to the responsibilities with goal of most efficient use of the officer’s time. Administrative support will also be provided to other key business professionals within the group on an as needed basis. Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion, administrative support experience using office technologies (Word, PowerPoint, Excel,), self-starter skills, ability to operate independently. Must be able to interact with senior level executives professionally including internal and external contacts as well as domestic and international contacts.


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Meeting set-up:  Help setting up individual and group meetings, including coordinating any international meetings. Manage catering as needed
  • Calendar management:  Maintain calendar and coordinate closely with other business area contacts and other administrative assistants to ensure calendar is managed appropriately and without conflicts.
  • Travel arrangements:  Book travel reservations including both domestic and international travel
  • Travel expense reports:  Submit travel expenses for reimbursement
  • Consultant (vendor) coordination:  Coordinate ID requests and meeting arrangements (time, space, access) for meetings w/ designated VP
  • Consultant (individual) coordination:  Coordinate set-up of consultant for payment and ID needs
  • Material Preparation: Assist in the preparation and/or coordination of memoranda, presentations, reports and spreadsheets by preparing and editing text, slides and other materials.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative assistant or similar role.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and set appropriate priorities
  • Highly collaborative, team focus with the ability to work with individuals at all levels
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and work with senior level executives professionally
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft MD Office tools – including Microsoft Outlook



  • 3 + years supporting C-Suite executive(s)
  • Bachelor’s degree
