Key Responsibilities

  • Copywrite and copyedit content for digital channels (web, email, social) to drive acquisition and engagement for MetLife’s priority products, including its new financial wellness app, Upwise
  • Drive ‘test and learn’ experiences to improve content and optimize web, email, and social efforts
  • Activate tone, voice, and messaging guidelines, helping to ensure all content adheres to brand standards
  • Provide direction for new assets and editorial oversight to external partners, ensuring the work meets brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with external influencers/experts on content for both their channels and ours, including but not limited to social posts, articles, and live event content
  • Ensure MetLife/Upwise is at the forefront of social media trends and drive channel innovation via compelling and timely content
  • Create and manage editorial calendar, contributing unique story ideas aligned with business and product priorities
  • Maintain and audit content inventory to identify gaps, build taxonomies, and optimize for SEO
  • Analyze performance of content across owned channels, using data and insights to inform and optimize future content creation
  • Report to executives and key stakeholders on strategies, learnings/results, challenges, and future plans
  • Opportunity to collaborate with analytics team to improve measurement rigor to optimize performance of content

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience developing DTC content across multiple channels and platforms—bonus if you have experience marketing a mobile app
  • A hybrid between being a strategic thinker and driver of operational excellence
  • Proven ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and complete responsibilities in a fast paced, agile environment
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to get your point across in a succinct and professional manner
  • Exceptional writing, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and navigate a highly matrixed organization
  • Hard working, multi-tasker who enjoys taking ownership of projects

Preferred:

  • Has a test and learn mindset and experience deploying email and social campaigns with multiple tests
  • Experience working in a CMS, marketing automation platforms, and social media platforms
  • Experience with freelancer, vendor, or agency management

The wage range for applicants for this position is 78,000 to 131,400. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off.
