Role Value Proposition:

Provide insights into investment strategy (15%). Oversee and guide technical analysis of accounting and economic changes in the actual and projected balance sheet and income statement (30%). Review appropriate accounting literature with internal subject matter experts to advance appropriate recommendations and interpretations of accounting guidance with respect to best actuarial practices and financial transparency (20%). Analyze changes to actuarial valuations of balance sheet and income statement, integrating knowledge of asset and liability valuation under various accounting bases (15%). Partner with Finance, Actuarial and the business teams to prepare models and specs to aid in the risk assessment and evaluation of product development and portfolio management strategies (10%). Oversee the activities of direct and matrix reports in pursuit of a successful analysis (10%).


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or Electronic Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus seven (7) years of experience performing actuarial analysis. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirement not applicable to this section) -- must possess the following: designing and analyzing accounting models on both the asset and liability sides of the balance sheet; leading project management with diverse team of different skills; and working within a complex matrix reporting structure. Must possess: FSA designation or comparable international designation.
