MetLife is looking to hire a Mortgage Credit Analyst, who will be responsible for assisting in residential mortgage loan, reporting, analytics, operations, and management.  This group manages over $15B in residential mortgages across multiple clients. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in tracking and reporting the performance of the residential whole loan portfolio.
  • Provide analytical support to residential mortgage loan trading and management team.
  • Query internal database and utilize 3rd party analytical tools to evaluate portfolio performance.
  • Create new reports for clients and internal groups (i.e., Risk) to show performance and data analysis.
  • Automate or streamline existing processes to make them more efficient.
  • Provide quality control of multiple data points within various data sources.
  • Assist in management loans from purchase to liquidation, sale, or payoff. 


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to manage information flows effectively.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be able to simultaneously handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and applications in a timely manner.
  • Experience with Excel.


  • BA/BS preferred in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or any other related field of expertise.
  • Experience using SQL or other database software.
  • Experience with programming languages such as VBA or Python.
  • Experience with reporting tools or platforms.

The wage range for applicants for this position is $49,700 - $76,100 . This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
