The Role:

The role supports the CIO Asia and VP Technology Services Asia in leading severals areas of work with the most critical  in Business Enablement

 

Business Enablement (including Employee Value Proposition and Engagement):

The role will drive the key initiatives to address critical gaps in fulfilling the business priorities and transformation.  This would include, but not be limited to, managing the governance around business performance and reviews, supporting internal and external engagements, as well as coordinating and supporting the engagement and communications together with other leaders and functions. 

 

This role will be the key enabler as well as mobilizer, spending time supporting building Asia Technology organizational capabilities, focusing on developing key strengths of the organization, addressing areas of improvement and partner with other stakeholders to achieve goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set vision, strategy, and tone for the priorities related to the areas in scope
  • Drive initiatives to facilitate the technology transformation agenda including Employee Value Proposition, strategic vendor management, business controls and enablement
  • Drive the risk culture across Asia Technology
  • Lead initiatives to drive vendor cost optimization and reduction
  • Lead and manage complex Business Controls, Business Enablement or on-demand enterprise strategic projects and processes, in line with strategic initiatives
  • Leads and oversees the management of the areas in scope by partnering with Asia senior technology leaders and their teams and with senior leadership across Technology, Risk Management, Procurement, HR and Comms to deliver the objectives of the areas in scope  
  • Drive alignment with Global Technology Business Controls, Global Risk Management, Internal Audit, Procurement, HR and Comms functions
  • Participates in meetings with the SVP, Business Controls and senior leaders to provide strategic advice, guide and oversee strategically important projects, representing Asia Technology.
  • On vendor management,  work with vendors to fulfil the vendor resource needs and work with vendors in fulfilling them, develop strategies for vendor selection, ongoing monitoring, performance KPIs/reports and exit process.

 

Candidate Qualifications:

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 10+ plus years of experience, preferably in driving organization transformation in financial services or technology domains
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven success in strategy, planning, governance, and execution in positions of similar scope and complexity
  • Proven track record of building collaborative partnerships and alliances at all levels while holding people accountable; ability to operate effectively in a global and highly matrixed environment
  • Strong Executive leadership skills. Collaborative partner able to influence and drive accountability across organizational, geographic and domain boundaries for alignment, approvals, decision-making and governance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and help communicate the organization’s direction and ensure results are achieved
  • Prior experience managing or coordinating complex projects, including the ability to create and execute transformation programs
  • Demonstrates strength in strategic thinking, identifying key business issues and opportunities, creating business strategies, and driving results across diverse internal teams and/or external partners.

Eagerness to learn about new and unfamiliar technologies.
