The Application Maintenance & Support (AMS) Transition Services (TS) team is a team dedicated to tracking the progress of application development projects with significant operational impact, from inception to delivery. Transition Services acts as a single point of contact to serve as a communications hub and monitoring group for any new or changing applications, projects, platforms, etc. that will impact our application portfolio.

    

Key Responsibilities: 

Performs some or all of the following:

  • Lead or conduct activities associated with transition of projects into the production environment, specifically where it will impact the teams providing support and maintenance including:
    • Track deliverables to and from AMS for projects that will impact the AMS application portfolio
    • Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the Transition Services process across the organization and make recommendations for improvement
    • Ensure all IT teams follow the Transition Services processes and escalate any repeated non-conformity.
    • Produce the appropriate management reporting on the status of projects from an AMS perspective.
    • Maintain a team site and manage key information such as Transition Service procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
  • Manage relationships with partners throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
  • Guides the work of more junior staff (no direct HR responsibilities)

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 5+ years of broad IT experience
  • 5+ years of project management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Relationship management experience with IT partners

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Level 8) (Preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems)
  • Hands-on proficiency and understanding of ITIL process and SDLC
  • Ability to build and manage relationships effectively
  • Experience working with offshore teams
  • ITIL, PMP, Lean IT certification desired
  • Insurance industry background
  • Bilingual
