Role Value Proposition
This role is responsible for actively recruiting dentists for MetLife’s Dental Networks to ensure continued growth for all dental products. The individual will join a team of experienced professionals within Americas/Group Benefits/Dental and Vision Network Development. Group Benefits is responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and management of MetLife’s industry leading U.S. employee benefits. The success of our Network team has direct impact on earnings and revenue as network growth leads to greater sales opportunity, which helps Group Benefits achieve its goals and further position our company as a leader. Sales support is required on a regular and on an as needed basis to support existing and prospective customers; as it pertains to dental network development. Knowledge of area fee calculation process as well as experience with fee negotiations with area dentists and internal financial partners is necessary. Strategic planning and project management skills required to assess, develop and implement marketing plans in assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit dentists to participate in the PPO, DHMO and EPO programs
- Retain current dentists in assigned area and negotiate fees when necessary
- Support sales via updates/ reports of network activities and support dental product initiatives by working with product / partners whether directly or indirectly supporting network development.
- Travel to meet with dentist in your assigned area, when required.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
Required:
- 3+ yrs. relevant business experience with network provider recruitment and strong sales and negotiation skills
- Proficient with Excel, CRM and all MS Office products
- Familiar with dental DHMO, PPO and EPO plans
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of dental office practice management
- Strong organizational and time management skills and very detail-oriented

The wage range for applicants for this position is $65,000 - 78,000. The role is eligible for incentive compensation under the sales incentive plan for your position. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off.
