As the Recruiting and Onboarding Supervisor, you will coordinate all aspects of GCS Sales hiring in partnership with the GCS Sales Leadership Team, GCS Work Force Planning, Human Resources, Global Talent Acquisition and MetLife’s Recruiting Vendor. The position is responsible for successful sourcing, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and integration of new hires into the contact center environment. This position will ensure that new hire acquisition and retention goals are met. This position will act as a strategic advisor to the business on process improvements for recruitment strategy, new hire experience as well as training materials and delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with hiring managers throughout GCS Sales and gain a solid understanding of business objectives and hiring plans in order to develop and implement sourcing / recruitment strategies.
  • Partner with Global Talent Acquisition/Recruiting Vendor/Human Resources to develop & implement multi-site sourcing and recruiting strategies that support Sales hiring plans to ensure attraction of right level of talent for the organization. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement with internal partners.
  • Use creative and innovative methods to source a diverse group of candidates.  Participate in career fairs, open houses, industry events, college/university events, social media and other networking avenues to proactively identify and recruit passive candidates.
  • Oversee the end to end sourcing and recruiting process from opening the requisition, interviewing/selecting candidates in partnership with other hiring people managers, completing employee ID’s, systems and other first-day readiness activities, etc. to ensure the hiring goals are met in a timely manner.
  • Partner with Sales Managers on recruitment of other talent needs, e.g., Supervisor, Outbound Consultant, Retention Consultant, and Sales Support roles. Provide counsel to hiring managers during the assessment and evaluation of candidates.
  • Develop and track metrics associated with the recruiting process and quality of hires.
  • In collaboration with HR, Business Instruction Team and Sales Managers, oversee a new hire onboarding process that is consistently rolled out to all Sales new hires and maintained to ensure new hire retention goals are met across GCS Sales. Support Business Instructors and Sales Managers with new hire classes as it relates to people management issues regarding performance, attendance, policies and procedures.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency
  • 2+ years of recruiting related experience
  • Strong working knowledge of successful WFM/recruitment strategies & practices and behavioral interviewing skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Problem solving – ability to identify issues, develop solutions and deliver messages
  • Strong orientation to building work environments that drive and support employee engagement and retention as well as team building and relationship management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a high-energy, fast paced environment

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ years of previous supervisory, sales hiring and call center experience
  • Knowledge of change management disciplines and tools
  • Lead and champion change efforts
