We are looking for passionate engineers to join the DevOps Team at MetLife Legal Plans. The team’s mission is to build foundational components for rapidly delivering robust cloud services. We strive to learn and understand the collective needs of the technology team so that we can foster innovation, community, and growth. This is a new role where you will have the freedom to influence many key technical security decisions and really make a difference. Our technology team is a tight-knit group that is passionate about user happiness, security, automation, and open-source software. We value attitude and work ethic above technical credentials. Building new technology is a messy business, so you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment. MetLife Legal Plans is headquartered in Cleveland, OH, but our engineering team is remote by default, so you can work from wherever you like. The team gets together in person each year, though people who live near each other will often meet up more frequently.


Key Responsibilities:

What you’ll do:


● Design, build, and maintain infrastructure-as-code used in the configuration and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure.

● Develop, scale, and control strategies, standards, guidelines, and governance of Continuous Integration systems

● Integrate security testing and controls into different phases of the software development lifecycle.

● Work collaboratively with IT and Security to define and formalize detailed cloud security technical standards and guidelines.

● Strong ability and understanding of securing systems on the application, network, and infrastructure layers.

● Analyze applications, systems, and infrastructure to identify key security risks and recommend and drive security improvements


What We’re Looking For:


● Expertise in cloud service architecture and cloud security concepts

● Experience with application security testing tools and methodologies.

● Experience in creating detailed solution design documents & diagrams.

● Ability to conduct threat assessments and assess risk

● Ability to implement cloud security controls

● Experience with Cloud Technologies including Azure and AWS

● Experience in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, etc.)


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: ­­ 




• Experience with Cloud Technologies including Azure and AWS.

• Expertise in cloud service architecture and cloud security concepts.

• Experience with application security testing tools and methodologies.

• Experience in creating detailed solution design documents & diagrams.

The wage range for applicants for this position is $103,400 to $174,100. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including health benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
