Position: Sr. Splunk Analyst, Cybersecurity Analytics

Role Value Proposition:      

Design, build and maintain enhanced security posture analysis and reporting capabilities using Splunk, to include searches, visualizations and dashboards of vulnerability and asset data aggregated from various sources. Collaborate with vulnerability management team and other stakeholders to define analysis and reporting requirements. Maintain SPA team Splunk development environment, in collaboration with Engineering and Operations. Guide SPA team on Splunk best practices and provide training and assistance to less-experienced teammates.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience using Splunk in a Cyber Security function to create queries, reports, alerts and dashboards. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirement not applicable to this section) -- must possess the following experience: defining analysis and reporting requirements to support the enforcement of IT general controls and security controls; building and maintaining enhanced data analysis and reporting capabilities using Splunk and scripting tools, including regular expressions, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and advanced XML; creating Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) queries, reports, alerts, dashboards and Splunk Common Information Model; understanding Splunk architecture and various components (indexer, forwarder, search head and deployment server), heavy and universal forwarder, and license model to advise on Splunk environment and data ingestion configurations; and proficiency with Linux and Windows server operating systems.
