Role Value Proposition: 

 Analyze enhancement requests, propose optimum software designs, create system interaction diagrams, flowcharts and supporting documents showing proposed approach and have it built by the team (25%). Participate in project-related meetings, focusing on requirement gathering, design walk-through, code reviews, QA test plan and test cases review (10%). Collaborate with production system management team and partner team in fixing the bugs, analyze software, triage issues, recreate them in TEST region and provide recommendations (10%). Perform feature grooming, backlog management, story point estimation and sprint planning following ATDD methodology (15%). Support audit activities, including HIPAA and SOX compliance, semi-annual DR reviews, ROSS guide updates and annual EAI recertification (5%). Run peer reviews, provide feedback on team deliverables quality and mentor junior team members (15%). Cross-team coordination for managing development on upstream and downstream interfaces associate is directly involved in (5%). Provide architectural guidance and leadership on the technical features of applications and the best way to address complex changes (5%). Support BSA activities to remove ambiguities in use cases, mapping documents and non-functional requirements as part of project deliverables (10%).

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus four (4) years of experience developing mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, SQL and VSAM. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirement not applicable to this section) -- must possess the following: implementing applications to production environment using version and revision control tools, including CHANGEMAN, Git and Bitbucket; troubleshooting and debugging online and batch using IBM debugger; developing REST and SOAP APIs using ZOS Connect; developing and maintaining mainframe applications using Scrum Framework and Agile methodologies; and mentoring and leading offshore teams in onshore-offshore model
