An efficiently run Human Resources department provides Metlife with structure and ability to meet business needs through managing the company’s most valuable resources – its employees.  As a member of the Global Technology and Operations Human Resources IT department you will be responsible for supporting the global applications that manage and track our employees as well as the overall health of our organization.   The systems involved in the HR portfolio are used to manage and track the life and career activities of our associates.  This position is primarily responsible for application development, developing technical design, testing and implementation of MetLife’s Enterprise Compensation Planning system. We are looking for a go getter and change agent who will be able to partner with several organizations as a liaison to HRIT to continue to push Metlife as a leader in the industry.

 

    

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Responsible for the development of the global deploy of MetLife’s Enterprise Compensation Planning system (Base, Bonus, Equity) leveraging Oracle’s HCM Compensation offering to 45 countries in multiple languages with integration to third party vendors. Tasks include, but not limited to, managing compensation eligibility, maintenance and configuration of fast formulas, setup of user defined tables (UDT), total compensation change statement setup, workforce compensation setup, Payroll integration management, worker availability management, etc.  
  • Lead the analysis and implementation of global expansion and redesign of MetLife’s Global Compensation system.  Partner with the implementation vendor partners while managing the delivery and setting the quality of the work.
  • Provides technical SME knowledge and understanding of the Oracle Cloud Compensation. Provides guidance on technical configuration based on the business requirements. Responsible for the delivery of the technical configuration workbooks.
  • Develop conversion strategy, integrations, interfaces and fast formulas.  Develop test plans and performs all levels of testing. Develop custom code or solutions to supplement the delivered Oracle cloud capabilities where necessary.
  • Maintains knowledge of HR industry trends and communicates knowledge of risks, opportunities and services available to build a competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness across the portfolio.   Demonstrated ability to articulate and present these benefits to IT and Business partners. 

 

 

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of broad IT experience, including application development, architecture, risk management, and operations.
  • Experience with ANY of the following skills:
    • Oracle HCM Cloud modules such as BI Publisher, HCM Extract, HDL, Fast Formula
    • PL/SQL including stored packages, procedures, database triggers, and SQL programming
    • Performing ETL development with Informatica and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
    • Mobile development technologies
    • HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery
    • Programming experience with web services (SOAP, REST) development technologies including .NET Framework and C# using Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Extensive experience with systems integrations using various technologies like Infomatica, API, flat file, etc.

  • Working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure (Active Directory, Siteminder SSO) as well as the management of teams who you are dependent upon but do not have a direct reporting relationship with.  

 

 

 

Preferred:

 

  • Implementation experience of Oracle HCM Cloud (HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation).

  • Experience supporting software applications in multiple languages globally.

  • Fluency in other languages like Spanish, Japanese, etc.
