Role Value Proposition: 

The Senior Vulnerability Assessment Analyst - Infrastructure will provide subject matter expertise as it relates to vulnerabilities analysis and enhancements of MetLife’s perimeter security.  The Analyst will continuously assess, analyze, and make recommendations on the steady flow of vulnerabilities being discovered by researchers and various security tools.  The Analyst will be a key contributor in MetLife’s daily threat assessment briefings.  The scope of work will cover the multitude of MetLife software and hardware vendors that may have vulnerabilities. This role will also require advanced analytical and communication skills to efficiently interact with global stakeholders and drive effective remediation across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor vulnerability feeds and assess impact to MetLife
  • Enhance the current program of continuous vulnerability monitoring and assessments across infrastructure
  • Analyze various vulnerability feeds using various tools, prioritize vulnerabilities and assess impact to MetLife
  • Run various assessment tools to obtain insight on security posture and create various reports for management and stakeholders
  • Liaise with the Threat Intelligence team to obtain and complement valuable insight on emerging vulnerabilities
  • Provide vulnerability remediation consultation to global teams to support enterprise risk reduction efforts
  • Lead ongoing system administration responsibilities for core Vulnerability Management systems


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 3+ years of combined IT and Cyber Security related work experience
  • Familiar with various infrastructure assessment tools and vulnerability management best practices
  • Possess strong communication skills and be able to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely
  • Strong understanding of key security controls and technologies (e.g. Operating Systems, Networking, Firewalls, SIEM, Security Analytics, SOAR)
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and related standards


  • Ability to perform basic scripting to analyze and automate repeatable processes (e.g. Python, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell, REST API)
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNA, Security+, GIAC, PMP, LEAN and Six Sigma
  • Bachelor’s degree with major in related field
