The “IT Risk, Security and Business Continuity Analyst” reports to Director ITRS Strategic Security Projects within the office of CISO.  Application security is a top area of focus at MetLife and we are working to update and remediate applications with a high-risk posture. Large complex programs are incepted to build processes, governance, and metrics to drive a culture of maintaining MetLife security to protect sensitive customer data. These programs span across multiple organizations and establish methods to upgrade and remove risks and drive the upgrades. The IT Risk Security and Business Continuity Analyst provides analytic data and technical support. This role plays a critical part in gathering and developing quantitative metrics for the program from various technology, security, and operations groups. This individual will be an enthusiastic programmer working within a team environment to deliver on reports automation and technical capabilities. The goal of this position will be to work with a variety of stakeholders both within Information Risk & Security and other partner functions to automate the delivery of risk & security performance metrics, security portfolio metrics, security finance metrics and other automation ITRS group.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create data driven actionable insights for application development teams to reduce risk.
  • Coordinate, understand and assess reporting requirements for risk & security metrics
  • Automate current processes and offboard metrics collection to ensure real-time data accuracy and consistency
  • Integrate data source to produce analytics and visuals as needed
  • Systemically prepare and explain analytics and reports
  • Working with Senior team members and across the organization, contribute to team effort toward analysis, development and testing of new reporting models and analytics
  • Communicate analytical data for vulnerabilities, solutions, and enterprise trends to all levels of an enterprise
  • Provide project management support for tracking and maintaining reporting cadence for programs


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, IT, Data, or related field
  • 5+ years of related experience in business planning/analytics
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerBI, MS Access or other reporting tools
  • Understanding of IT Risk and Security
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and working experience with development projects, defect tracking systems
  • Quick learner and open towards agility and changing environments


  • Enthusiastic developer with hands-on coding skills developing dashboard and data integration
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration with good written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge waterfall and an Agile Scrum environment
