Role Value Proposition: 
We are seeking a candidate for the Strategy and Planning (S&P) Team that supports the Office of the International Chief Technology Officer for a unique and exciting experience to gain a thorough understanding of International Infrastructure Services (IIS).  The IIS S&P Team enables the Regional Infrastructure teams in cross regional processes and initiatives such as Planning, Governance, Communications, Portfolio Financial Management, Agile Program Delivery, Process Documentation, Reporting and Analytics, and Administrative functions.  The candidate will have responsibility for owning the IIS annual communications plan, executive meeting coordination, and other key operational functions as well as assisting in the compilation of high-level analysis of critical portfolio information for use by the CTO.  IIS is building its operational reporting capabilities - the ideal candidate will have experience in gathering, storing, analyzing, automating, and reporting on large, cross-functional, disparate data sets using MetLife approved tools such as SharePoint and Power BI.  In addition, the individual will develop, organize and maintain cross region process documentation. Due to the complexities of international enterprise initiatives, the S&P Team gets involved in a lot of different efforts and team members must be flexible to handle ambiguous requests with ease. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business and technical acumen; a big-picture mindset with attention to detail; and creativity with the drive to deliver results.  This role will work in close collaboration with global infrastructure partners in all time zones, and at all levels within the organization.  

 

Key Responsibilities:  
•    Owns and leads key Strategy and Communications activities for the group
•    Manages the production of high-profile internal and external meeting logistics and materials such as Monthly Operating Reviews, planning sessions, offsites and town halls
•    Manages the creation of reporting/dashboards/analytics for IIS operational and financial Goals and KPIs
•    Documents and maintains operational processes to be leveraged across IIS regions
•    Participates on Global teams and provides input to decisions regarding International Infrastructure strategy, governance, best practices and tool utilization

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required
•    7+ years of relevant business, technology, or operations experience
•    Demonstrated ability to implement operational activities with solid planning and logistics experience 
•    Excellent organizational, analytical, planning and influencing skills 
•    Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
•    Experience developing actionable analytics using MS Excel, Power BI or other tools
•    Background managing process documentation and improvement initiatives 
•    Demonstrated ability to coordinate and collaborate with internal organizations across the company
•    Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize deliverables
Preferred
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience
•    Understanding of IT infrastructure domains, including data centers, network/ communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, application development, and end-user services
•    Knowledge and application of relational database concepts and business intelligence experience (Apptio, Cognos, Power BI, PowerQuery, Sharepoint )
•    SAFe/Agile Exposure/Certification
•    ITIL or Service Management background
•    Knowledge of portfolio and financial management processes and best practices such as budgeting, cost allocations, capital and operating expense handling, program portfolio management, and application/ infrastructure support
•    Broad experience in the financial/insurance industry
