Key Responsibilities:  

  • Collaborate with key business and technology stakeholders to develop solutions supporting Global Communication and Human Resources organizations

  • Partner with development teams and vendors to identify technology solutions to meet the business needs and align to the overall MetLife direction

  • Responsible for leading discovery projects and high level system design. Maintain an awareness of technical advancements particularly around collaboration, document management and CRM that might support Employee Experience mission.

  • Lead in solutioning, specifying and selecting information system solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.

  • Develop and maintain a model of Employee Experience’s current and future Solutions Designs and a structure that is stable, resilient and high performance.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft products such as O365, Windows 10, Active Directory, and Azure and experienced in large scale implementation of enterprise solutions using .NET, Java, and SharePoint.

 

Specifically, the candidate would be expected to have very strong critical thinking skills and extensive experience on developing solutions. The position will require working collaboratively across engineering organizations.

 

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the individual to simultaneously manage several projects, with tight deadlines, while paying attention to detail and quality.

  • Excellent communication, planning, interpersonal, and time management skills.

  • Strong focus on meeting commitments and deliverables

  • Detail-oriented individual capable of working both independently and within a team

 

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience with medium-to-large technology based projects.

  • 7+ years with software development and engineering using a variety of technologies (e.g. .NET, JavaScript)

  • 7+ years’ experience with IDEs (e.g. Visual Studio)

  • 5+ years with Web/Frameworks (e.g. HTML5, CSS3)

  • Knowledge of UX and their interaction with web applications

 

 

Preferred:

  • Should have experience working with both Agile and waterfall SDLC.

  • Knowledge of mobile application architecture (PhoneGap, Cordova, jQuery Mobile, Dojo Mobile, Jo, iUi)

  • Experience with software development and engineering using C#, Java, PowerShell, SQL, PHP, Ruby, Perl, C++, and BSH/CSH

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL)
