As a Solutions Architect you will be responsible for collaborating with the product development team and business and/or technical architecture at all levels to develop applications/solutions/systems by providing architecture guidance and, at times, hands-on technical coding/scripting support during all phases of agile SDLC. Responsible for E2E architecture and technical design across Compensation and Producer Management ART. Responsible for defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision, best practices in design, security and quality for Compensation and Producer Management ART. This role also provides SME support for DevOps adoption for other ART’s within MLH IT.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers, stakeholders and suppliers to establish high level solution intent models and documentation requirements.
  • Partner with Product management to contribute for the product vision and validate technology assumptions, define Nonfunctional Requirements (NFR's) and identify enablers.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Platform teams to identify shared capabilities and integrate into the solution.
  • Creation of architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms.
  • Plan and develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities
  • Drive the design, build, reuse and application of engineering patterns to be used by teams within the ART.
  • Planning and development of current and/or target state reference architecture artifacts for assigned domain which includes Principles Rules & Guidelines, Conceptual and Logical Domain Architectures, Domain Roadmaps
  • Participation in Agile Scrum sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations and retrospectives, solution releases and any other responsibilities in the Scrum team that supports the goal
  • Identify and communicate risks (business, application, technical) associated with component or application implementation.
  • Create innovative solutions involving DevOps, DevSecOps, schedule, Cloud technologies, scaled methodologies, tools and solution components
  • Implement pipelines for continues Integration (CI) and Continues Deployment (CD) and continues testing (CT) and infrastructure automation.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Twelve plus years in full-stack software engineering, architecture or a combination
  • Understanding of one or more architectural disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Strong team player with the ability to interact with peers and senior management
  • Experience in Sales compensation and Producer Management products is plus.
  • Ability to build, deliver and operate complex, cloud-based systems using Azure.
  • Proficiency with .NET custom development using C# and ASP.NET MVC
  • Proficiency with, at least, one web language such as JavaScript, Typescript, PHP
  • Proficiency with various database technologies and solutions, including both SQL and NoSQL
  • Proficiency with modern web framework such as Node.js, AngularJS or VueJS
  • Effective interpersonal and consultative skills with strong oral and written communication skills

 

Preferred:

  • Advanced knowledge of multiple architecture disciplines
  • Cloud, Java, .Net, JavaScript, SOA, Mainframe
  • DevOps practices for CI/CD, release management, and automation using Azure DevOps
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Demonstrated engineering mindset with similar experience in IT or other related disciplines
  • Certification in Azure Solutions/ Azure DevOps

The wage range for applicants for this position is [the more specific figure (for example (only): $80,000) or range within which the hiring manager reasonably expects to hire (for example (only): $70,000 - $85,000)]. The role is eligible for incentive compensation under the sales incentive plan for your position.
