MetLife is seeking a Services Consultant to join our Service Enablement team in Cary, NC. In support of MetLife’s enterprise strategy, our Service Enablement team ensures Global Infrastructure services are delivered consistently, efficiently, and effectively.  The successful candidate is well organized and an analytical thinker, who will identify opportunities and drive the resulting process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Partner Success:
    • Work with technology verticals and lines of business to understand the current user base, demands and requirements for services. 
    • Drive communications/marketing for infrastructure services to drive adoption and awareness.
    • Coordinate efforts across functional teams to establish continual improvement efforts and conduct regular reviews to identify targeted actions. 
  • IT Management:
    • Analyze and interpret financial, CMDB and consumption feed data, and organize into accessible formats with meaningful insights
    • Assist partners with creation of Bills of Materials for large and complex projects.
    • Work with service verticals, capacity management, & development teams to forecast and report on demand.
    • Monitor contractual compliance and optimize third party spend associated with specific contracts
  • Service Portfolio Management:
    • Organizes and chairs service level, initiative and financial review meetings with IT services teams/providers and partners
    • Articulates the service portfolio and associated expenses to the firm as they apply to the services focusing on improving adoption and optimizing use of the services. 
    • Oversees use of performance metrics and client-driven reports on key services metrics.    

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance or other related fields or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of general IT or IT related experience (including IT finance or IT procurement)
  • A familiarity with IT and technology products as related to infrastructure and/or end-user services
  • Strong research skills and an understanding of financial concepts
  • Able to perform data analysis, draw conclusions, and present recommendations
  • Strong relationship building skills, and ability to collaborate across financial and technical teams



  • Experience working as or in an IT service provider
  • Experience working with the following: configuration management systems, Microsoft Office, service catalogs, ITSM/ticketing systems
  • Expert level Excel skills strongly preferred.
  • End User Technology Product Management experience
  • Experience with IT budget planning processes and chargeback methodologies
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies
  • Business acumen with broad exposure to business units
