As part of the Digital Sales, Servicing & Integration organization, this position will play a critical role in managing resources, communications, and strategies that drive the development and global deployment of digital platforms that enable distribution and servicing channels .  We are looking for a passionate, customer-centric, experienced technology leader who thrives at the intersection of digital and technology.  In this role you will immerse yourself in the portfolio of digital platform investments, coordinate a world-class team of technologists to create leading sales and servicing capabilities, and manage the resource allocations and finances for the organization.  As a transformation change agent, you will be at the forefront of driving communications related to innovation, roadmaps, and best-in-class customer experiences across MetLife’s digital properties.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Performance Enablement: Provide direction on priorities, risks, and gaps to other Directors within the organization, enabling leaders to move the needle on their initiatives.  Work closely with the VP to understand the future vision, and ensure other Directors’ objectives are aligned with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Leadership Communications: Work with global leaders to inform them of major changes within the organization, and deliver communications on what our initiatives mean from a global perspective.
  • Resource & Financial Management: Lead and manage the allocation of 80-100 full time resources to ensure all projects are staffed appropriately and that skillsets are utilized to enhance efficiency. Manage portfolio finances and work closely with PMO and Finance.
  • Strategic Planning: Provide thought leadership to create an environment that fosters innovations and drives the business forward in maturity to build a world-class Technology shared-services practice.
  • Value Reporting: Generate key reports that communicate value being delivered by the organization.

 

Required Experience:

  • 8+ years experience in organizational operations, portfolio management, financial compliance and communication strategy, in a technical environment.
  • 5+ years experience focused on managing business strategy and engagement. 
  • 5+ years experience managing teams.

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in a related technology discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global environment with matrix organizational management.
  • Communications and presentation master, with the ability to gain wide consensus and advance change at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to steer communications to reflect the benefits of project initiatives and gain buy in from leadership.
  • Experience in technology transformations, either within global organizations or through start-up companies leading transformative shifts.
  • Experience integrating marketing applications with other enterprise applications, as well as internal and external data sources.
  • Start-up minded, with a lean towards action and test & learn practices.
