Role Value Proposition: 

This role will provide enterprise resiliency coordination & consulting between Global Resiliency and MetLife’s worldwide location to support MetLife’s continuity of operations for governance and oversight.

    

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Assist MetLife Lines of Business in the assurance of business resiliency for allocated business units providing relationship management in terms of: Risk Management, Analysis, Provisioning & Recovery Strategies, Plan Development, Education & Awareness, Plan Validation and Business Resiliency Awareness.
  • Execute the Business Resiliency life cycle providing consulting to resiliency plan strategy and development, coordinating and consulting on exercises and conducting Plan Quality Reviews.
  • Aid with ensuring recovery strategy requirements and dependencies support business process recovery and resiliency.
  • Work closely with the Global Resiliency management as well as Business Leadership Support areas on projects which may affect the resiliency of executive business processes.
  • Ensure the Business Resiliency program components are current, effective, and address Lines of Business requirements.
  • Collaborate with Lines of Business and external business partners to remove barriers that impede the progress toward successful execution of plans.
  • Help develop overall tactical and strategic strategy to support business and team goals.
  • Automate manual processes within Business Resiliency.
  • Teach, train, mentor and support all Global Resiliency team members for elevation to their next level.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

  • Knowledgeable about governance concerning policy and standards for business continuity management.
  • Build strong customer / stakeholder relationships. Apply understanding of stakeholders (e.g., leverage best practices, advocate client position) to optimize business resiliency efforts.
  • Expert communication and written skills required for presentation development, audit relationship management and executive management requests.
  • Ability to adjust to an ever-changing business environment.
  • Experience with site and process based methodology.

 

Required:

  • 10+ years in a related field, preferably in professional services and/or financial services industry experience with business resiliency in a global enterprise.
  • Awareness of Business Process based planning from the Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, Technical Dependency Analysis and Gap Analysis/Remediation.
  • Business Process Identification / Business Process Model Hierarchy; familiarity with business processes.
  • On call 24/7/365. 

 

Preferred:

  • Professional Certifications such as CBCP, MBCP, MBCI or FBCI
  • Proven experience working with leading standards (i.e. ISO 22301) and regulatory requirements (e.g. FFIEC), DRII Professional Practice, BCI Good Practice Guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of industry tools (e.g. eBRP and xMatters)
  • Experience growing existing projects/Lines of Business relationships, or participating in business development activities (including proposal development and client presentations)
  • MS Office: intermediate to advanced skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.
