Metlife Is looking for a Data modeler along with ETL developer skills , who have experience in modeling large scale customer data platform (Customer 360 ) for Digital marketing teams to support campaign management / CRM and Digital analytics platforms . Senior Data Modeler is responsible for Logical and Physical Modeling in Power Designer/Erwin for a highly scalable data warehouse/ Postgres SQL database . Understand the dimensional/relational modeling techniques and bridge the gap between the SOR Systems developers, data warehouse developers and DBA teams. Anyone working with Big Data platforms is desirable.

Data Modeler would be responsible for maintain and scale up the Existing Customer Data base. Ideal candidate should  have following skill set.

  • Translates and transforms business requirements into data models (Conceptual, Logical and Physical)
  • Analyze source system data using profiling tools.
  • Understand the campaign marketing functional Paradigm from planning through reporting
  • Designs dimensional data models for Highly scalable data warehouse.
  • Creating high-level process models (activity hierarchy diagrams, data flow diagrams, workflow diagrams, system interface diagrams) to represent business processes for the area under analysis
  • Interacts with OLTP systems and translated relational models into dimensional models.
  • Experienced with database technologies , Javascript, XML/XSL, HTML/DHTML and querying languages such as SQL
  • Experience with One or more database platforms - oracle, SQL,MYSQL, PostgresSQL and or teradata.
  • Experience in building Customer 360 Data Models .
  • Experience in working with Marketing ,CRM and Digital data points . Ability to connect Online/Offline and CRM data points  .
  • Ability to build data model to support multiple LOB/Countries, ability to scale the database to support business growth.
  • Maintains Data Model repository.
  • Drives conversations with development teams and DBA teams to optimize the schema structure and ingestion processes influencing the write and read performance.
  • Executes and provides feedback for data modeling policies, procedure, processes and standards.
  • Evaluates Database and data and develop the data model appropriately, Deep understanding of Star and Snowflake schema .
  • Design data models in Data Modeling tools (Power Designer preferred)
  • Knowledge of RDBMS platforms (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 / UDB, NoSql, MongoDB, Hadoop) with experience in generating DDL
  • Experience in modeling large-scale (100+ entities) relational data models
  • Excellent SQL skills, including writing efficient PL SQL/SQL tuning.
  • Experience developing with ETL toolsets and/or Data Virtualization toolsets (e.g. Talend Integration Suite, Informatica, QlikView etc)
  • Ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Experience in Java Scripting , XML and API development.



  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of experience or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience with hands-on data modeling expertise with relational databases - both logical and physical data models - including detailed knowledge of normalization techniques, forward-engineering and reverse-engineering techniques
  • 5+ Years of experience with hands-on ETL expertise.
  • 3+ Hands on experience in building Customer 360 Data Models .
  • 3+ Experience working with Marketing ,CRM and Digital data points for marketing campaigns


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in modeling large-scale (100+ entities) relational data models
  • Data architecture
  • NoSQL: HBase, AWS DynamoDB, Cassandra, MongoDB
  • Experience with fuzzy-logic matching and tools
  • Experience with Adobe Campaign / Audience manager or Sales force marketing cloud .
  • Digital Marketing and Campaign management .
  • 3+ Years of experience with working on Big Data platforms
