Office Schedule: On-site every day to start; then on-site 4-days


Role Value Proposition: 

The Assistant Vice President, Cary Site Leader will be accountable for site strategy, inclusive of operational change plans, project plans and communication plans, impacting nearly 2K associates.  The position will have overall accountability for the day-to-day function and operation of the site, partnering closely with Corporate Real Estate.  They will also partner with all major stakeholders on the implementation of specially assigned strategic projects, partner with Corporate Communications to implement an effective and aligned employee communication platform specific to the Cary site, and partner with Human Resources. The Cary Site Leader will also be responsible for campus community engagement to strengthen MetLife’s local brand and reputation. 


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Lead and support campus-wide initiatives and activities for the MetLife hub in Cary, NC 
  • Act with executive responsibility by facilitating and enabling campus-wide capabilities 
  • Develop and implement campus strategies in partnership with the Cary Site executive(s) 
  • Facilitate and lead executive leadership meetings and engagement with campus leadership 
  • Strategize and implement approach for campus community engagement (I.e., community groups, non-profits, academic institutions, etc) 
  • Responsible for all campus communications over email and Yammer (i.e., internal communications forum), responsible for Cary campus SharePoint site, including ensuring campus contacts, policies & procedures are current
  • Serve as local escalation point for campus employees, facilities, gym, café, security, landlord and real estate  
  • Partner with Facilities team to ensure quality facilities/services are being provided to all MetLife associates 
  • Ensure campus remains a key component of the Employee Value Proposition, and as a key enabler to the MetLife FutureWork model 
  • Responsible for campus & employee resource group budgets and major campus events 


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred 
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an operating leadership capacity for an organization or facility (preferred)
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills 
  • Ability to establish relationships internally and externally 
  • Ability/interest in working in a fast paced, dynamic environment on multiple priorities simultaneously 
  • Strong leadership and managerial experience and abilities
