Role Value Proposition: 

Provides administrative support and customer service to one or more large group insurance clients. Works with account team, Account Executive and other internal partners to manage the customer relationship. 
  

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Overall accountability for: client requests, leading projects, providing clients with alternative solutions, identifying possible plan design alternatives, acting as a liaison between the client and internal MetLife teams. 
  • Collaborates and acts as a liaison to assist with problem resolution and troubleshooting. Presents results, analysis, and potential solutions to customer and internal partners 
  • Provides exceptional customer service to support ongoing customer delivery and client satisfaction. 
  • Participates in client account audits and both internal and external strategic planning process. Partners with Financial team in completion of customer financial reports; analyzing results and identifying trends. 
  • Under minimal supervision, establishes, compiles, analyzes, and creates reports of customer benefit program data, including customer employee data analysis, status of major initiatives, escalating issues, and potential solutions 
  • Provides project management support to various initiatives, leads the creation of client specific processes, and may act as a project leader and provides guidance to lower-level staff members  
  • Participates in strategy meetings, creates process manuals and inputs and ensures accurate input of data in MetLife systems, develops and leads client presentations. 

  

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: 

Required: 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience required, including knowledge of other Employee Benefit programs (e.g., Disability Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance) and relevant Federal and State Laws 
  • Strong project management skills including problem solving, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and decisiveness 
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel with the ability to analyze data through the use of formulas and/or macros, as well as strong PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Ability to work autonomously; effectively handle multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines appropriately and remain flexible 
  • Ability to balance client expectations with MetLife capabilities 
  • Self-motivated to learn more about the business and is proactive in personal development 

Preferred: 

  • Strong knowledge of claim processing for Disability Customers 
  • Bachelors degree

The wage range for applicants for this position is 73,500 to 112,600. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off.
