Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads planning, organizing and implementing large and/or complex application delivery projects.
  • Responsible for project schedule development, cost estimating and management, and overall quality of the project(s) deliverables.
  • May act as program manager on multi-project activities. 
  • Follows approved SDLC and project management methodology, ensuring that all required steps are followed, all required deliverables are produced, and all approvals are obtained.
  • Accountable for directing work effort of staff assigned to project or program. 
  • Owns project/program issue, resolution, and risk management.
  • Manages and oversees the full system development process, and turnover to production. 
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project planning, tracking and analysis. 
  • Maintains regular contact with clients.
  • Coordinates and reports on project progress and accomplishments. 
  • Provides technical and analytical support and guidance to project team members.
  • Assists in developing vendor statements of work, deliverables and Service Level Agreements.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead project staff members.  Project staff members may span multiple functions and teams, working in a cross-functional environment (i.e., will need to lead through others).
  • Provides input to management on staff performance. 
  • Reviews work products from team and vendor consultants.



  • 8+ years of related Project Management experience in an Application Development environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven skills working in a fast paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Candidates must have the ability to anticipate obstacles, triage and troubleshoot, and prioritize work deliverables
  • Previous experience working in cross functional, customer focused environment
  • Previous experience with project reporting and MS Office suite, especially MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint.



  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Previous experience working with virtual or remote resources is a plus
  • Previous experience in the insurance or financial services industries is a plus
  • Experience and/or desire to work projects with various levels of international components a plus
