Role Value Proposition: 

MetLife's Global Technology Services (GTS), Global Technology Shared Services (GTSS) Portfolio Management team requires a Senior Portfolio Manager to support portfolio planning and management. Establishes, implements, maintains, and monitors portfolio and project management methodologies and governance to ensure alignment and standardization within the IT organization.

    

Key Responsibilities: 

    • Maintain strong knowledge of key strategies, deliverables, and priorities, and use that knowledge to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
    • Collaborate with IT organization sponsors, Portfolio Managers, and Financial Analysts to support portfolio PAR administration, financials, support, and consulting
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify performance metrics and analytics that enable data-driven decision making
    • Coordinate and lead Monthly Portfolio Reviews and executive approval processes in leadership forums presenting top performance metrics and analytics

    • Develop executive internal and external presentations and communication

    • Administer set-up and track all approved Project Approval Requests (PARs) or labor, direct expense, and other expense codes to improve project accounting budget, actuals, and forecast capabilities

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

    • 5+ years of Portfolio Management or related experience
    • Strong relationship and change management experience
    • Ability to collaborate effectively and transparently and work as part of a team  
    • Ability to simplify portfolio data for data-driven decision making 
    • Identify and drive process improvement opportunities
    • Experience collaborating with and presenting to senior executives
    • Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Adept at juggling competing priorities, delivering on-time results, and honoring commitments
    • Strong understanding of program and project management
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field 

 

Preferred: 

  • Experience using Clarity and Apptio
  • 2+ years of Lean Portfolio Management / SAFe Agile transformation experience
