Location: Cary, NC - Hybrid work arrangement. (In office 3 days per week. Remote 2 days per week.)

As a full-stack engineer you are responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of solutions.  Timely and quality delivery of these solutions is based on a set of standards and processes which establish consistency across the enterprise, data, reduce risk, and promote efficiencies in support of the organization and the business goals and objectives. You will have an opportunity to impact every part of the system, foster and cultivate your curiosity and iterate over solutions to be the very best you can be to deliver for our customers. This role sits within a smaller team which provides the opportunity for the right person to take ownership of broader responsibilities, such as Scrum Lead who can support various releases and as support assisting the Product Owner of multiple products with the full-stack engineering responsibilities being the primary focus.

 

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Leading the collection and documentation of user requirements
  • Analyzing, designing and driving solutions for major components and features
  • Implementing enterprise caliber web, mobile and backend solutions
  • Ensuring secure, high code quality across the entire team
  • Investigating and resolving production management incidents, problems, and service requests.
  • Interfacing with key stakeholders and business leaders
  • Working with cross-functional teams for delivery
  • Mentoring Mid/Junior Software Engineers

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: ­­ 

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ plus years in full-stack software engineering
  • Ability to build, deliver and operate complex, cloud-based systems
  • Proficiency with .NET custom development using C# and ASP.NET MVC
  • Proficiency with, at least, one web language such as JavaScript, Typescript, PHP
  • Proficiency with various database technologies and solutions, including both SQL and NoSQL
  • Proficiency with modern web framework such as Node.js, AngularJS or VueJS
  • Cross functional leadership: organize, motivate and lead those outside of the team

 

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • DevOps practices for CI/CD, release management, and automation using Azure DevOps, Selenium, JUnit, or similar technologies
  • Git-based repositories such as GitHub, Bitbucket or Azure Repos
  • Container-based/microservices (.NET 6) development leveraging Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Microsoft Azure Services: Functions, Kubernetes, CosmosDB, Storage, App Service
  • Modern Identity and Access Management and general AppSec practices
