The Role: This position will be responsible for enabling the distribution, sales and service of MetLife Pet Insurance in the Group Benefits channel and achieving the Group channel financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with sales and service teams across National Accounts and Regional Market to deliver the pet insurance product on an end-to-end basis
- Identify strategies for enhancing 1st sale opportunities across the Group Benefits portfolio
- Participate in finalist presentations and shape pitches in collaboration with sales teams
- Define and refine the ongoing TPE and Enrollment Firms strategy for MetLife Pet and partner with Third Party relationships to secure new partners, grow existing relationships and implement new integrations
- Develop and maintain relationships with voluntary benefits platforms and drive new business by partnering with Marketing teams
- Design and launch a broker engagement strategy for MetLife Pet with key broker partners
- Deepen 2nd sale participation by partnering with Voluntary Communication Specialist teams to drive enhanced communication strategies and participation growth across the book of business
- Manage service escalations and identify new solutions to enhance Pet service across the Group implementation and service portfolio
- Partner with several cross functional teams across MetLife Group Benefits to execute on channel priorities and goals
- Mentors/educate colleagues on marketplace trends and insights and channel guidelines
- Provide ongoing reporting and updates to Pet leadership team and senior and executive leaders

- Reports to: CEO, Pet Insurance
- Direct Reports: 1 to 2
- Key Stakeholders: Pet Leadership Team, Product, Product COE, Group Sales and Service Leadership and teams, Voluntary Service Directors, Third Party Relationship Management, Voluntary Communication Specialists, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Operations.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience across sales, business development
- Strong business acumen with business development and sales experience
- Exemplary client management and relationship skills
- Deep knowledge of Group Benefits distribution
- Ability to drive results and outcomes in partnership with several cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in Excel modeling, PowerPoint, and Word
- Excellent negotiation skills, detail-oriented and persuasive

The wage range for this position is $151,000 to $201,300. The role is eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off. All incentives are subject to the applicable plan terms.
