SD-20, GG12, Lead Functional Analyst

Job Summary:

Functional Analyst (FA) participates in projects related to front-end systems for bancassurance channel, which is core sales system for MetLife Japan.
Lead FA is excellent communicator who can bridge business users and IT teams (developers, vendor staffs, etc.) and lead development, maintenance and support systems.

We are looking for talent with extensive application development experience and who can collaborate with Product owner, SCRUM Master, and others to drive Agile Delivery Model (ADM) together.
 

Responsibilities:

-    Work with product owner to lead user requirements gathering, scope definition/coordination
-    Act as liaison between product owner and developers to clarify business requirements
-    Considering solutions with related teams for business requirements
-    Work closely with SCRUM Master, Product Owner, developers, and other involved team members
-    Support various system development tasks (planning, testing, production deployment)
-    Support investigation and resolution of production incidents, problems
-    Share own experience and knowledge to strengthen the team
 

Requirements:

-    Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience required
-    7+ years of experience as a business analyst on systems development projects
-    5+ years of team leadership experience
-    Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, decision-making, problem-solving and negotiation skills
-    Ability to organize and diverse work groups to achieve business goals
-    Deep understanding of the software development life cycle
-    General understanding of Web/JAVA architecture system development methodology
-    General understanding of Agile development methodology
-    Ability to understand documents written in English/Japanese (e.g., business requirements, system design materials)
 

Preferable:

-    5+ years of professional experience in the life insurance industry
-    Consulting, partnering, facilitating, and influencing skills
-    Project management skills
-    General understanding of open system infrastructure shch as Windows/Linux OS, Web application server (e.g., Tomcat), RDBMS (e.g., Oracle/MS-SQL), ETL (e.g., Informatica Power Center), ESB (e.g., IBM Integration Bus)
-    Experience with CI/CD deployments (e.g., Bitbucket, Bamboo, Azure DevOps)
-    Microsoft Azure experience (usage of specific cloud technologies)
-    NoSQL experience (e.g., Azure Cosmos DB)
-    Experience with transformation projects
