Job Summary

Platform Development team is looking for an IT Development Lead who is capable of leading the team at Tokyo and our partner location to support the high scale digital transformation project. Responsible to build multi-layer architecture systems and be able to host on top of the preferred cloud services. She/He will play a critical role in managing the overall development of the system development and product development.

Responsibilities

• Proactively involve in the design / development of the ongoing system development
• Manages the overall software life cycle from requirement understanding, design the complex modules, code, testing and shipping the modules to production.
• Proactively defines the IT delivery process to ensure quality of the stable system and maintaining the standards in the consistent system delivery.
• Reports the status of the team progress day to day activity to the respective management team.
• Handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously for both long term project and short-term urgent incident handlings.
• Collaborate with partners to drive the development with the specified KPI on quality metrics.
• Manages and implements Japan and Global Technology communication and work with the Global platform team to ensure the developed product is within the approved technological decisions.

Requirements (Experience, Skills, Education)

• 7+ years of experience in IT function with experience in development of any of the UI technologies such as React JS, JQuery, Angular JS and minimal knowledge on the Java frameworks such as Spring.
• Strong problem analytical skills, interpersonal and collaboration skills and ability to build relationships at all levels, work cross-organizationally.
• Strong debug skills to resolve any complex problems and work with partner resources to help their problems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical messages.
• Solution orientated perceives and either resolves or escalates the risks to appropriate stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation, written, oral and relationship building skills.

Preferable

• 5 years or more of business experience in the system department in the life insurance company or any other financial service
• Be able to communicate in Japanese with stakeholders
