Job Summary

As Release Train Engineer, you would be working for Next Horizon Japan program, which improve customer experience through digitalization, and also working for other projects, such as application rationalization, new product development, EOL/EOS projects, small enhancements and production support activities for NB & Claim applications of Operation area.

We are seeking a talent with Insurance Business knowledge (especially NB & Claim) / technology skills and application development experience, and capable to collaborate with the Product Owner, Development Team, Scrum Leaders to practice/promote Agile Delivery Model.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT projects with leading several teams to support corporate strategy and company/business goals.
• Work closely with stakeholders to encourage decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Train team members.
• Lead Agile release trains processes and execution
• Work closely with architects and Infra team to align with the MetLife Global Platform Reference Architecture.
• Work with on/off-shore developers for application system release with quality and velocity.
• Contribute to system stability by engaging continuous improvement, such as production support, incident restoration and problem management etc.
• You would be responsible for managing cross-functional projects as a team representative.

Requirements (Experience, Skills, Education)

• 10 years in IT application development & insurance, and 3 years application development with Agile way
• Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
• General understanding of Web/JAVA architecture system development methodology
• General understanding of Agile development methodology
• Ability to understand documents written in English/Japanese (business requirements, system design materials, etc.)
• Ability to communicate by email and/or orally in English/Japanese 

Preferable

• Japanese/English bilingual
• Experiences in global system development Project
• Transformation project experience
• General understanding of Open system Infra structure like, VM technology, IP network/switch/load balancer, Windows OS, Linux OS, Oracle DB, Mongo DB, Tomcat, Informatica Power Center, IBM Integration Bus (ESB).
• Consultative, partnering, facilitating, and influencing skills with many audiences and cultures
• Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, decision making, problem solving and negotiation skills
• Program and project management skills
• Ability to organize and influence diverse work groups to accomplish business goals
