Data Quality Steward understands business processes, data workflows, and data quality controls and validates design and adherence to data standards. This grade is required to lead practical tasks under the guidance of a manager.

Responsibilities:

• Requirement Analysis: Understand and document complex business processes, data flows, data sets and Data Quality controls based on the analysis of the current situation.
• DQ Requirement Definition: Formalize Data Quality requirements based on the analysis of business requirements.
• Data Analysis: Document data collection from various sources and integrate across business functions for data utilization.
• Data Quality Improvement: Interpret data profiling results to validate and recommend Data Quality Controls and business improvement metrics.
• Stakeholder Management: Develop detailed Data Governance and Data Quality artifacts to demonstrate Business and Technical Data Stewardship for complex Data Governance Program initiatives.
• Implementation: Execute or support Data Quality reporting processes collaborating with stakeholders.
   

Requirements:  Please describe the required competencies, including experience, skill sets, etc.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of working experience as data engineer, IT engineer or business analyst.

Skills:

• Knowledge and experience of Data Governance and Data Quality management executions.
• Good understanding of SQL and RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server etc.
• Strong capabilities for designing and understanding database schema and data models.
• Strong capabilities for business analysis and defining business requirements..
• Knowledge and experience of BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik View/Qlik Sense, Tableau etc.
• Good problem-solving skills and analytics skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferable:

• Knowledge and experience of data integration by API or ETL.
• Knowledge and experience of Hadoop ecosystem and Azure data platform: ADLS, Synapse, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL DB.
• Knowledge and experience of Salesforce application, Data Loader and SOQL.

Language:

• Japanese: intermediate
• English: intermediate
