MIM is currently seeking highly motivated professionals to join its Institutional Client Group (ICG) in a role focused on business development through the completion of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) for MIM’s Real Estate platform. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multiple departments across the organization, including senior investment professionals, portfolio specialists, sales and relationship management, operations, legal, compliance, and other subject matter experts (SMEs), as needed. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a consistent ability to effectively convey MIM’s investment capabilities through professionally drafted RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and other forms of communications. In addition, it is expected that the RFP Writer will become a content specialist and interact frequently with SMEs to ensure that our content management system (Qvidian) is up to date and accurate at all times. Finally, the RFP Writer will be responsible for populating select institutional consultant and plan sponsor databases on a quarterly basis.


Key Qualifications:  

  • Excellent project management, writing and editing skills.
  • Self-starter who can simultaneously handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Existing knowledge of capital markets and the sales process for investment managers with emphasis on Real Estate Debt and Equity capabilities.
  • An ability to further develop the RFP team's profile with portfolio management, senior investment, and relationship management/sales teams; build relationships and develop strong knowledge of product management, marketing, and sales initiatives.
  • A collaborator who can lead projects from A to Z, including coordinate internal RFP Kickoff calls, establish project timelines, secure required Legal/Compliance signoffs and produce a professional and persuasive product.
  • An innate desire to keep abreast of changes within the firm, product, and industry, ensuring changes are reflected in RFPs.
  • Assist with the maintenance of our RFP database (Qvidian), including development and maintenance of investment product content.
  • Engage in follow-up work associated with RFPs moving to the next phase: coordinating answers, obtaining additional information, etc.
  • Populate the Firm’s products to institutional consultant databases.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills


  • Tangible experience in drafting RFPs specifically for institutional asset managers with real estate investment capabilities.  
  • Working knowledge of effectively utilizing Qvidian or a comparable RFP database tool as well as proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prior experience populating firm and product information to institutional consultant databases and responding to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.


  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Ability to work autonomously; effectively handle multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines appropriately.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM, TaskRay, eVestment Analytics, and eVestment Market Lens.
