We are looking for a Middle Office Corporate Actions Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for a broad scope of corporate action functions and managing the transaction lifecycle. You will work very closely with the Portfolio Management team and must be able to handle multiple queries from the trading desk at any given time. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work efficiently and will have the ability to multitask while still maintaining detail orientation.


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Support Front office with trade settlement, cash, position, and account structure inquiries.
  • Coordinate information flow between Custodial Banks, Front Office, Executing Brokers, and various internal stakeholders for trade, risk and related data.
  • Review, Research and resolve unreconciled activity between MET, our clients and various Custodial Banks.
  • Oversee trading activity across DTC, Euroclear and other regional clearinghouses to ensure proper settlements, as well as cash and position reporting.
  • Work with numerous internal teams such as investments, risk, legal, technology, and client services in order to provide a high level of service to both internal and external clients.
  • Identify process and system improvements and work closely with business and technology to implement.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Corporate actions experience (Vol/In-Voluntaries, Reorgs, Spinoffs, Cusip Changes, etc).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities
  • Exceptional multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power-point, Word)
  • Capable of thriving in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Highly motivated, team player, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to question the status quo, be a critical thinker, and look for ways to create and implement efficiencies.



  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
  • Portfolio Accounting Management or cash accounting applications a plus
  • Functional experience with Aladdin a plus
