The Global Private Credit Team is responsible for managing approximately $100 billion [1] in total assets under management and collectively brings over 100 years of investing experience in this asset class. Met Life Investment Management (“MIM”) offers exceptional access to investment grade deals due to our significant scale, long-standing market relationships, and sector expertise.  Our investment decisions are informed by a team-based risk culture with a time-tested approach to managing risk, combined with proprietary research, and layered independent oversight.  MIM utilizes this platform to invest across the universe of investment grade private credit and we are uniquely positioned to offer a private credit investment solution through access to the full range of our private credit capabilities and sector expertise.  The role will work closely with MIM’s Private Credit client portfolio management team and supports requests from internal and external stakeholders.   This role will be responsible for ensuring that critical activities and tasks are completed while also upholding the highest of standards of data integrity. This is a role that is constantly analyzing, manipulating, and synthesizing large datasets.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Working with various business units such as Portfolio Managers, Affiliated / Unaffiliated Accounts, and Operations in running reports and maintaining data integrity.
  • Performing quarterly data reconciliations for external reporting.
  • Work across multiple systems to gather and synthesize large data sets to respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in internal efficiency projects, such as system integration (Aladdin, Salesforce, iLevel, and Allvue).
  • Collaborate on improving analytic framework, data sourcing and end-user reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create efficiencies and solutions to meet complex reporting demands.
  • Provide support to client portfolio management team with ad hoc requests and projects.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required: 

  • Ability to analyze large sets of data and create summarized views through use of Pivot Tables, Charts, and other forms
  • Strong technical and analytical skills. Proficient with use of Excel and VBA. (Past programming experience a plus)
  • Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and an inclination to validate everything
  • 0-3 years’ experience.

Preferred:

  • BA/BS in Data Analytics, Math / Statistics, finance, accounting, or computer science preferred.
  • Familiarity with private credit or fixed income is a plus.
