Role Value Proposition: 

MetLife Investments Management’s (MIM) – Technology Group is looking for a full-time software development engineer with 5+ years of experience to assist with the development, testing, implementation and ongoing support of Client Reporting deliverables across a variety of asset classes.
    
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop solutions to meet the reporting needs by assessing business requirements, creating SQL queries/procedures, integrating source data to create interface file feeds and build reports
  • Will be responsible for developing design documentation to show processing logic, and produce concise technical specifications
  • Provide on-going support during the monthly and quarterly Client Reporting Production cycles by troubleshooting SQL queries and database issues
  • Perform detailed data analysis to understand root cause analysis

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field 
  • 5+ years of related work experience in C# / .NET, SQL relational database design/ ETL development; supporting Reporting Platforms, Integration and Reporting Services experience (SSIS, SSRS)
  • Advanced level of writing stored procedures, construing the query plans, and troubleshooting the performance issues
  • Familiar with the development of API’s
  • Experience with production implementation process of reporting

Preferred:

  • Power BI, TFS, GitHub, UrbanCode deploy
  • Experience with Investment domain a major advantage
