Business Transformation Consultant - Investments Change Management

The business analyst/consultant will serve across the asset classes within MetLife Investment Management.  The role will define business requirements and processes in support of implementing new or enhanced trading, origination, and asset management systems.  The position will partner closely with the origination, asset management, portfolio management and IT teams to support development and enhancement of best-in-class technology solutions for MetLife Investment Management (MIM).



  • Asset Sectors: Public Fixed Income, Private Capital, and Real Estate with over $650 billion of Assets Under Management
  • Business Processes: asset origination, asset management, portfolio management and analytics
  • Portfolios:  MetLife Affiliated Insurance Companies, Separate Accounts and Funds
  • Regions: Global


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop deep business knowledge of processes.
  • Partner closely with business teams and vendors.
  • Evaluate and document business processes and data flows.
  • Define business requirements and process changes that drive efficiencies and enhance capabilities.
  • Support implementation of systems solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure systems delivery meet requirements.
  • Identify opportunities and solutions to improve data quality.
  • Support end-user’s business questions.
  • Participate in Daily Scrum meetings and other Agile ceremonies.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: 


  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; including experience analyzing business problems to identify solutions and implementing those solutions.
  • Proven ability to elicit and document business requirements.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income, Private Assets or Real Estate Investments business.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income, Private Assets or Real Estate systems.
  • Strong communication skills, highly analytical and well organized.
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented individual.


  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology.
  • Master’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, technology or a related discipline.
