Role Value Proposition: 

The Strategy & Transformation Group is part of the Global Customer Solutions (GCS) which provides Sales and Customer Service support of key insurance and protection products within the business. More than 2,500 employees in nearly a dozen contact centers sell MetLife products and answer questions for customers across product lines, including Auto & Home, Dental, and Life   

   

Key Responsibilities:

 

The Senior Employee Engagement Consultant will:

  • Lead centralized employee engagement activities that span across multiple areas, functions, and lines of business
  • Internal change leader dedicated to creating new, innovative, dynamic employee experiences and engagement initiatives
  • Be a creative thinker able to both conceptualize and execute on a vision, and is a strong communicator
  • Collaborate with and lead department-level engagement contacts to ensure smooth execution of GCS-wide engagement activities
  • Under minimal supervision, conceptualize and oversee large-scale employee engagement projects that span across departments, including the annual incentive conference and Customer Service Week      
  • Research, analyze and communicate engagement data and insights to create meaningful change in rewards and recognition approaches
  • Plan, gain leadership buy-in for and execute complex engagement initiatives as the need arises – from survey tools to regular feedback  platform  
  • Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, milestones, and budgets to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met
  • Maintain and refine the engagement budget to streamline the reporting process
  • Manage critical relationships with leaders, consultants and vendors in GCS and other parts of MetLife
  • Oversee quarterly leadership town hall logistics to ensure they meet the requirements of the meetings’ communication and engagement objectives
  • Choreograph site visits by top executives, including Metlife leaders, external vendors and business partners 
  • Provide updates to the leadership team regarding project status and the implementation of new or revised procedures, processes, and/or initiatives

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

  • 8+ yrs. related business experience in employee engagement or consultancy (Required)
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferably in Communications, I/O Psychology or Marketing (Preferred)
  • Ability to develop and present stellar PowerPoint decks for various stakeholder groups
  • Ability to produce relevant employee-facing communications (i.e., recognition nominations, emails/posts, video scripts)
  • Strong organizational leadership, team collaboration and relationship management skills
  • Creative, positive, engaging, upbeat and can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of project management, change management and communication disciplines a plus  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required
