Role Value Proposition: 

Participation in audit assignments to ensure that all business and technology risks are anticipated, identified, recognized, and appropriately managed in alignment with the departmental audit plan and initiatives.  Audit activities include the following:

  • Reviews of business, Information Technology (IT), Financial and processes/practices to ensure compliance with MetLife Policy, use of compliant best practices, procedural efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in planning and executing audits.
  • Compile risk analysis and audit programs in accordance with audit standards.
  • Compile business process and key control information for audits.
  • Assess the control structure of the processes.
  • Develop audit work papers and audit reports utilizing departmental guidance.
  • Assists in the preparation of audit findings and the development of audit reports.  Interacts with audit management and the business stakeholder as necessary
  • Participates consultatively in developing issue resolutions to the extent possible
  • Audit reviews may be conducted in specialized areas, such as IT, insurance, financial products and services, requiring specific knowledge pertaining to policies or regulations governing areas being audited.


Key Responsibilities:  


  • Assists in audit work to assess the soundness, adequacy, compliance, and cost-effectiveness of the enterprise's operational, financial, and information systems' controls
  • Assists in the support of SOX deliverables
  • Conducts External Audit direct-assist work

Project Management

  • Participate in projects, completing assigned tasks and responsibilities within budget and agreed timelines (and explaining variances)
  • Communicate timely and appropriately with identified stakeholders within IA and business management

Relationship Management

  • Consults with clients in developing action plans to resolve control issues or risks
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with fellow auditors and auditees, sustaining ongoing relationships with key business contacts


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • 2-4 years of audit experience or internship in information technology (IT) or an accounting/auditing role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, deductive, and problem-solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook



  • Bachelor’s degree with preference for major in business, information technology or accounting
  • Data Analytics is a plus
