Key Relationships:
Reports to: Head of Middle Office, Asia 

Other Key Stakeholder: Trading, Portfolio Management, Valuations, Risk Management, IT, Operations and Finance team.
 

Key Responsibilities: We have two headcounts as below.

[Headcount 1]
•    Perform oversight of the below Middle Office process. : Confirmations (Fixed Income), Settlements (Fixed Income), Corporate Actions, Pricing 
•    Look to enhance current processes across all outsourced/third party providers.
•    Perform oversight of global reconciliations within internal and external platforms (Aladdin / BNYM and Accounting).

       -Review cash balances across platforms at start of day.

       -Highlight discrepancies to internal teams (GOSC, Front Office and Regional teams.

       -Ensuring the trading desks are fully aware of their available cash at the start of day.
•    Process clearing & settlement activity for derivatives trades.    
•    Support the APAC offices with all BAU/Operations controls and processes.
•    Look to enhance current reconciliation / IBOR process.  Building out additional controls and processes. Create and maintain issuer/portfolio/security data within MetLife platforms.
•    Contribute to expanding capabilities to support growing international business and regional projects.
•    Liaise with front office teams, back-office teams, portfolio management, risk management and IT across all products for the region.
•    Cross-trained to be back up to both derivative and security operations processes within the region.
•    Provide rotating coverage to support key functions during local holidays across the region.

•    Process clearing & settlement activity for derivatives trades. Products include: FX forwards, FX futures, Interest rate swaps, Cross currency swaps, FX options, Swaptions, CDS/CDX, Securities Lending, Listed Futures

•    Process principal and interest payments, resolving issues arising from counterparty disputes.
•    Review, execute, and oversee daily margin activity for bilateral OTC, cleared OTC, Exchanged Traded Derivatives and Repo / Reverse Repos.
•    Analyze, evaluate, and resolve collateral disputes.
•    Monitor and reconcile cash and securities collateral positions.
•    Perform daily portfolio reconciliations with brokers / dealers.
•    Create and maintain issuer/portfolio/security data within MetLife platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    B.S. Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Business Management, or similar field
•    5+ years of investments experience within a financial services firm
•    3+ years of investments operations experience supporting derivatives or security operations.
•    Intermediate Excel Skills – (Pivots, Macros, V lookup, Graphs)
•    Strong quantitative, organizational, and planning skills.
•    Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
•    Dedicated, self-motivated, highly eager and interested in developing others.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  
•    Knowledge of Calypso, Murex, Aladdin, Tri-Resolve, Markit EDM, TLM/Smartstream, Tri-Resolve, Bloomberg, FX Connect, DRMS, GTSS, DTCC, MarkIt Wire, and Acadia Soft is a plus. 
•    Ability to understand technology solutions.
•    Written and spoken fluency in English required.
