Responsibilities

Head of Marketing Sciences is responsible for oversight of insights and research, segmentation, reporting, analytics, brand, advertising effectiveness and NPS metrics, campaign measurements and marketing ROI measurement activities for the overall MetLife Japan business.

This role will also act as a consultative leader to solve ad-hoc business questions across the different lines of business. This requires end-to-end management of research and analytics projects working closely with lines of business and functional marketing leaders across the company to develop key actionable insights relevant to the MetLife Brand, our customer experience and communications and the new product and services that will define the future of our company.

 

Requirements (Experience, Skills, Education)

•5-8 years of marketing research and analytics experience, including B2B and D2C experience. Experience in insurance or financial services is a plus but not required.

•Practical familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research and insights methodologies. Ability to manage end to end complex multicounty research projects from design to delivery / insights activation.

•Ability to understand business issues and models and translate them into metrics and analysis plans. A proven track record of triangulating disparate data and turning them into business recommendations and actions.

•Practical familiarity with business intelligence, web, digital/ social marketing and CRM analytics.

•People management experience, including hiring and building teams.  Understand what needs to be built, patient and entrepreneurial when it comes to building the team and creating capabilities.

 

Preferable

•Demonstrated ability in forming trusted advisor and influencer relationships with internal partners or clients, especially in a matrix organization. Team player with experience interacting with different functional areas and personality styles.

•Ideally with both Consumer Packaged Goods and Financial Industry / Credit Card experience (both not required but desired)

 

Others

Qualification: Undergraduate degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

Language: English ( Advanced Intermediate Basic), Japanese ( Advanced Intermediate Basic)
