Job Summary

Deputy team leader of Infrastructure Operation Team (IOT) works closely in cooperation with, and report to, the team leader to work with team colleagues, business partners, and stakeholders in the overall strategic directions of the IT operations.

By delegating from the team leader, the deputy will be responsible for the direct supervision of the infrastructure operations.

As part of the IT leadership, the deputy distinctive role is to support engagement with key partners and counterparts at both worldwide and region level, to ensure overall service quality of IT operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assists team leader and upper management to promote company growth (Business enabling)
  • Oversees daily activity of the team
  • Prepares key goals, budgets, schedules, and other organizational reports as needed
  • Provides advice and guidance to team members
  • Manages team workloads in order to meet goals and deadlines
  • Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Improve or streamline existing systems, policies and processes
  • Ensures business requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Promotes and enforces stability of systems
  • Manages assets and inventory
  • Oversees engineering functions (partly IOT has engineering function)
  • Works closely with other organizations to promote efficient IT go-live optimization
  • Identifies improvement areas and plans and implements systems to boost company effectiveness
  • Manages internal and external service suppliers
  • Executes plans designed to meet company goals by changing organization cultures and coaching team members

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industry Engineering, Business Field (e.g. Business administration) or related discipline
  • Prior experience as IT manager required
  • Strong Organization Skills
  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written
  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Action planning and prioritization skills

  • Knowledge of broad IT technologies (not limited to infrastructure technologies)

  • Experience in SIer, Could Service provider, IT product vendor or IT engineer in financial industry.

 

Preferable

  • Experience as a Solution Architect/Software Engineer/Project Manager/IT System Administrator
  • A background in Life Insurance company
  • ITIL, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or equivalent training
  • Experience with tendering, contracting, contract supervision and financial management
  • Experience with SOX, FISC, PCI-DSS and PII compliance
  • Experience with enterprise-class commercial software (ESB, MQ)
  • Experience with web application software (IBM WAS, Apache Tomcat, IIS)
  • Experience with enterprise-class database software (Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB)
  • Experience with voice infrastructure (Avaya, Cisco Unified Communication, Nice)
  • Experience with virtualization, hyper-converged infrastructure, and hyper-converged storage
  • Experience with PaaS/IaaS (Azure, O365, WebEX) at hybrid model
